Good news for ‘N0r5ke Viking’
new international subsea cables confirmed!

Lyse/Altibox announced 17 December ’19 the decision to complete both NO-UK, connecting Stavanger to Newcastle (UK), and Skagenfiber, connecting Larvik to Skagen (DK), opening for direct fiber-links to the UK and continental Europe via Denmark. Bulk’s Havfrue connecting Kristiansand with Killala in Co Mayo (Ireland) and New Jersey (USA). This will most likely result in a a level-shift in domestic dark fiber/transport demand, thus very good news for N0r5ke Viking – the most direct and exclusive fiber route connecting western and mid-Norway.

Eltel Networks is a leading northern European provider of technical services for power and communication networks.

Our ‘N0r5ke Viking’ subsea-cable project hits another milestone: renowned Seaworks Kabel AS is now handling the formalities with the Norwegian Coastal Administration (Kystverket) and pipe/cable owners for official authorisation to install the cable along our selected route.

We are excited that Elden  Eiendom AS has agreed to work with us on this part of the project. Elden Eiendom AS is probably Norway’s most experienced and respected in the field of negotiating agreements for long-term land leases — crucial for all our sea-cable landing-sites and location for telecom shelters.
Elden EiendomAS’ references include the Norwegian Rail and Avinor (Oslo Airport Gardermoen).
